Monaghan County Council proposes to replace its existing Litter Management Plan 2018-2020. A new draft plan has been prepared for the prevention and control of litter within the county, setting out appropriate objectives and activities for the three- year period 2021-2023. The plan proposes to address the negative impacts of litter on our county, improve the quality of life and sense of wellbeing of our residents, and enhance our commercial and tourism potential through effective and efficient Management and maintenance of our public realm, Communication, education and awareness, and Enforcement of legislation and regulation. Submissions are invited from members of the public and from voluntary and representative bodies in relation to the proposed plan. Copies of the plan are also available free of charge from the Environmental Services Department, Civic Office, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, or by contacting 042-9661240. The closing date for making submissions or observations on the Draft Litter Management Plan is Friday 25th June 2021 at 5.00pm
