The Monaghan Fleadh hosted by Craobh Éamonn ÓMuirí will be launched tonight (Thursday) 1st June at 8pm in Urbleshanny School hall with music from local branch musicians, adult group Ceolinn, Caitriona Sherlock, and Michael Rooney. Special guest of honour will be Uachtarán an Chomhaltais Éamonn ÓhArgáin. No admission fee, the Fleadh book will be on sale at this event. Tomorrow night (Friday 2nd June) will include an open session in McCague’s Bar from 9pm. Saturday is competition day from 10am sharp in Urbleshanny School, admission fee for adults is only €5, children free admission, come along for a feast of music, song, and Comhrá. There are sessions in Scotstown Complex at 5.30pm (note the venue), and in McCague’s Bar at 9pm. Aifreann na Fleidhe (Fleadh Mass) will be in Urbleshanny chapel at 11.30am, and an open air ceili with Muineachán le Gaeilge at 3pm in Scotstown village. Everyone welcome to all events. The Ulster fleadh will be Dromore, Co Tyrone from 21st to 23rd of July, and the All Ireland fleadh will be in Mullingar from 6th to 14th August 2023.
