Don’t miss Ómós na nUltach, a new suite of music composed by Scotstown’s Michael Rooney, in the Garage Theatre on Saturday 18th March at 8pm. The suite follows the path of the province in a historical context leading to the present day and the bright future of our place and people. The music follows a number of historical events of the province of Ulster, such as the Flight of Earls, industry within the province, and reflects on ongoing issues such as emigration. The show featuring the Ulster Youth Folk orchestra and friends was commissioned by the Ulster Council of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and performed by the Ulster Youth Folk Orchestra and friends. It’s an unmissable event, and tickets are very scarce. Booking essential; see the Garage Theatre website for details.
