The St Dympna’s School Community, Tydavnet, welcomed new principal Dan Murphy to the school on Monday 23rd January 2023. Dan, from Cavan, has come to his new role after being principal of Harcourt Terrace Educate Together, Rathmines, Dublin. He graduated from St Patrick’s College, and apart from academics, he has a strong interest in promoting student voice, ICT, music, and sport. He’s a keen Man Utd fan, but we’ve no doubt some of the students will be trying to change that allegiance along the way, and perhaps even sway him to Scotstown and the Farney Army too. We wish him well in his new role.
