As the pandemic lockdown continues, it’s very hard on everyone to keep the faith and look forward to getting out and about with freedom again. We ask that you this week make a pledge to reconnect with a neighbour, a new Mum, a friend you haven’t seen for a while, or someone who needs a chat. Commit to make 2 phone calls a week, and do at least that much, and more if you can. If you don’t plan, it’ll go on the long finger again. While the children are at home encourage them to write a letter or card to someone nearby or someone in a residential centre, and do the same yourself. Change the conversation – there’s enough talk about Covid, try and bring a bit of positivity and good cheer with your virtual ceili. If you are concerned about someone, and you feel they’d like a chat with some of the Scotstown GAA committee member or senior or former players, please contact Chairman Shane on 086 836 7997. It’s more important now than ever to reconnect – it’ll do a power of good!
