Thanks to all our lockdown knitters for the fantastic effort of making scarves for nursing homes and homeless, they have been much appreciated by all the units who received them. The group is based at the Oakland Centre, Glaslough, but has members all over the county and beyond. The next project is creating bright and colourful Knitted/Crocheted Muffs for people with Alzheimers, dementia and autism. You can use up all oddments of wool and use any stitches or styles. Approximately 50 stitches on 4/5mm needles, 11 inches x 10 inches when completed. Then fold over and stitch up. If you want to get adventurous you can add trims etc. There is no real time limit but wouldn’t it be nice for some Christmas presents. Full details on the Facebook page
