The death has occurred of 25 year old Ben McElvaney, Effra Road, Rathmines, Dublin, grandson of the late Packie McElvaney, Ballinode village, and son of Stella and Brian McElvaney, on Saturday 5th September 2020, suddenly, following a motor bike accident. The tragic incident happened on the R401 near Edenderry. Co Offaly, at around 10am. Sadly missed by his parents, his sisters Maresa and Daniella, his Godson James, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and his wonderful circle of friends. May he rest in peace.   

In line with Government and H.S.E advice regarding public gatherings, a small private Celebration of Ben’s Life of 35 family and friends will be held on Thursday 10th September at 4pm. Ben’s family would ask that over the coming days, everyone who knew Ben, would take some time to light a candle or say a prayer in his memory. Those who cannot attend his service due to the current restrictions please feel free to leave a message in the condolence book at the bottom of the page.
