Thanks to everyone who participated in the recent litter pick around the Tydavnet area, and a special thanks to the young people who got involved. We appreciate the efforts of Monaghan town runners who did a litter pick on several roads in the area. We also admire the few people in the area who continue the litter picking all year round – we appreciate and welcome their community spirit. Most roads were done, but volunteers are still welcome to do roads that were missed. Bags and some litter pickers are available from any member of the Tidy Towns committee, or from McCarvill’s shops at Killylough and Ballinode. Please do your bit, keep safe, observe current Covid 19 restrictions, use high viz clothing and gloves, keep your social distancing and keep within 5km of your home. We ask everyone to make an effort to dispose of all your litter correctly – love where you live!
