In the current emergency all are dispensed from the obligation to physically attend Sunday Mass. Funeral Masses can be celebrated but limited to close relatives or friends with at most 100 people inside the Church.
The word Laetare comes from the Entrance Antiphon of today’s Mass: “Rejoice, Jerusalem! Be glad for her, you who love her….” The word Laetare means “Rejoice”. However, we do not have much to rejoice about during these difficult days. The unknown enemy of Covid 19 is all around us, leaving us fearful and worried. Greetings to all mothers today and prayers for those affected in any way by the coronavirus are being constantly remembered in the prayers of Fr Joyce and Fr Early. We thank them for their commitment and support. Stay safe everyone!
