10th Anniversary Party: We had a terrific night at our 10th anniversary party. Many thanks to all who helped make it a memorable night. Thanks especially to the committee members for all the work they put into the night.

Social Dancing: We are now offering classes in Social dancing. The classes begin on Monday 11th November in the Soccer club, Gortakeegan at 7.30 until 9.30.

Walks: The walk on Wednesday, November 6th is in Knockmany Clogher. Meet at Tydavnet Community centre at 10.00am. The walk on Wednesday, November 13th is in Castle Saunderson. Meet at Smithborough GAA car park at 10.00am. We had an enjoyable two days in Newcastle with lovely walks, a great hotel and good company. Thanks to Heather Camblin for leading us on the walks.

Poems and Pints: Maggie Charley’s, Ballinode is the venue for Poems and Pints on Thursday 21st November, around 8pm.

Book Club: The next Book Club meeting is on Thursday, October 28th in the Four Seasons hotel at 3.15pm. The book for this month is ‘The woman in the window’ by A.J.Finn. The book will be available in the library. Please note change of time.

Monthly Talk: The next Monthly Talk will be Friday 29th at 12.00 noon in Gortakeegan. The speaker is Dr Cliona Kelly, Associate Professor of Law in U.C.D and she will speak on ‘Know your Consumer Rights’.  Please note the change of time for the talk. The talk will take the form of a presentation, followed by a question/answer session. Tea/coffee will be available afterwards. If anyone has a question concerning consumer affairs, please text it to 0833244455 before Wednesday 27th November.

Trip to the N.C.H. to ‘Oklahoma’ is on Saturday 16th November.

Christmas Coffee Morning: Keep Thursday 12th December free for our annual Coffee Morning in St. Joseph’s Pastoral centre.

Coffee and Craic: Every Wednesday in Smithboro’ hall around 3.00. Drop in for an informal coffee or tea and a chat. All welcome.

Annual Renewal: Please note that annual renewal is in January, so there is no need to renew your annual subscription until January 2020.
