Calling on all former members of Ballinode and Tydavnet Macra to come along and take a table each at an event on 2nd November in the Glencarn Hotel, Castleblayney, to celebrate 75 years of Macra na Feirme. Both clubs had great successes at county and national level, and many of the members have gone on to other roles in the community and voluntary sector, as well as elected members of government. Indeed, the Macra clubs in both areas provided fantastic  entertainment, training, rivalries, and indeed romances, which were great social outlets of the era; and it’s now time to regroup and reminisce about all the great times of Macra. More information can be had from Gerard Sherlock in Tydavnet, and Mary (Reilly) Mullen in Knockatallon, both synonymous with all that was great in Macra!
