Tydavnet Community Games end of year Presentation Night took place on Sunday 1st September in Scotstown Complex, hosted by the Tydavnet Area Committee. This provided an opportunity to showcase and applaud our competitors and their achievements; to acknowledge the parents for their support at every competition, and the Managers, Coaches, Volunteers and the Committee for their time and commitment during 2019.

Special Guest Siobhan Hegarty presented Area Medals to winners in Art, Handwriting, Model-making & Gymnastics; Certificates to our Youth Volunteers,  (Sorcha Deery, Aodhan McQuaid & Shannon Boylan), and Certificates to All Competitors who participated in Area, County, Provincial and  National Competitions in 2019. Siobhan came up through the ranks of Tydavnet Community Games, and was involved in athletic competitions at underage level for many years. She was also involved as Chairperson of Tydavnet Community Games for 15 years when Tydavnet Area was at the peak of winning many accolades in Community Games, including Best Area in County, Best Area Provincial and overall Best Area Nationally; the first time an area in Ulster won this coveted award! This is a Legacy that the current Committee wants to aspire to, and the success and participation of the past 3 years are proving that we are growing as a Community Games Community.
A special “thank you” to Scotstown GAA for use of venue, to Manuel Lavery and Marc Mullen for providing and setting up Multi Media Equipment and for all who helped to make it the success it was. In acknowledgement to the new competitors and their families that joined us in 2019, we hope to see everyone back for 2020 Competitions.
