Summer Break: This is the last U3A News Report until September. I wish everyone a “sunny” Summer, whether you are staycationing or heading further afield. Have a wonderful time with your families and friends.

Coffee Mornings: The very popular Coffee Mornings will continue at Grahams  on Thursdays, but we would request that you arrive at the earlier time of  10.30 instead of 11.00. It would make life easier for all concerned!

Classes: All classes have now finished and will resume in September.

Walks: The following are the arrangements for Walks until September;

  • Wednesday, June 12th is in Knockmany, Clogher. Meet at Tydavnet Community Centre at 10.00 a.m.
  • Wednesday, June 19th: Castle Saunderson. Meet at Smithborough G.A.A. Car Park at 11.00 a.m.
  • Wednesday, June 26th. Lough Muckno Park. Meet at the Cathedral Car Park at 10.00 a.m. or Park Gates at 10.30 a.m.

July and August Walks

All walks during July and August will be in Rossmore Park on Wednesdays at 10.30 a.m.

Outdoor Bowls: Outdoor Bowls will take place this Thursday, June 13th from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon, weather permitting and will continue every second Thursday from now on. Please note the following dates for Outdoor Bowls for the remainder of the Summer; Thursday  June 13 and   27,   Thursday July 11 and  25&  Thursday August 8 and 22, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

Trip to Seamus Heaney HomePlace: This trip is now full. Those who are travelling, will receive a text in the next few days about Payment Arrangements.

Upcoming Trips: A three day break has been organised in Ferrycarrig, County Wexford on September 23rd, 24th and 25th.  All U3A Members will be notified in mid August and arrangements will be made to collect money from those who wish to travel.
