Clara Rose (daughter of renowned folk singer Liz Deery, formerly Tydavnet) is all set to entertain on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury with “Ladies in the Blues”, the show she’s currently in.  “Ladies in the Blues” tells the story of the women of the blues through their songs and experiences. Audiences are treated to top class performances of songs by artists such as Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Nina Simone, Janis Joplin, and Bonnie Raitt to name a few. The singers are Clara Rose, Grainne Hunt, Jhil Quinn, and Emma Niolai, and they are backed by a wonderful band, Ed Deane, James Delaney, Eoghan O’Neill and Kevin Malone. They have toured theatres nationwide for a number of years including sell-out shows at the Cork Jazz Festival. But now it’s time to take the show to Glastonbury.
