Local artist Sheila McCarron from Killymarron, Ballinode has a painting selected for the 189th Royal Hibernian Academy’s (RHA) Annual Exhibition. The selection process is incredibly competitive; with over 2,698 artworks submitted, and only 320 were selected. The exhibition is open to the public from 21st May – Saturday 10th August 2019, in the Royal Hibernian Academy, Gallagher Gallery, 15 Ely Place, Dublin 2. The event attracts a large audience with over 51,000 visitors during 2018 viewing works by 416 artists working in paint, sculpture, drawing, print, photography and architecture. Admission is free and the exhibition is supported by a full colour catalogue costing €20, available at reception.
