On Saturday May 18th 1974, the day following the Monaghan bombing, 149 prospective young students attended an enrolment/entrance exam day in rooms 11 and 12 at the former Technical School situated on the Glen Road. 45 year later, plans are well on the way for the much anticipated “Old Tech Reunion 1974”, which is being held in Beech Hill  College on Friday 17th May at 7pm. Over the last few weeks the committee has been busy through social media https://www.facebook.com/Old-Tech-Reunion-1974-1007142222830252/and word  of mouth etc trying to make contact with all students whose names are listed on the School Register 1974/75 . To date there has been a very positive reaction and former classmates are now looking forward to renewing old friendships and a night of memories and reminisce of their school days. Catering has been organised and a small fee of  €10 will be charged on the door to cover costs and will include a donation to charity. For further information on the event or if you would like to inform us of you intention to attend contact Martin Connolly 087 9817118 martinconnolly@eircom.net or gerwatterson@gmail.com  Someone once said “School days are the best days of your life” well perhaps this might be our last school day so come along and enjoy the evening and take home many lasting memories of our school days.
