Ballinode ICA members have been doing crochet and knitting for the Rotunda hospital. The hospital has a coffee morning on Thursday 28th March, and some of the members will attend it. The ICA branch has got great support for the knitted clothes, blankets and “Tentacles for Tinies” charity initiative, where crocheted octopuses are helping comfort the premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The tentacles of the crocheted octopus resemble the umbilical cord and remind babies of being inside the womb. Thanks to all who took part, and especially Breda Caulfield and Mary Sherry for all their expert tuition . Well done everyone.
