Best wishes to Francis Dolan from Tydavnet who has recently set up a cycling education company “Bike Green” .  Francis has always been passionate about cycling, and has worked for many years in outdoor education. He has earned Mountain Bike Leader Awards (MBLA) as a Trail Cycle Leader and Mountain Bike Leader, – the comprehensive syllabus for each award includes mountain biking skills, trailside repairs and bike set-up, navigation and leadership.

Bike Green instructors Francis Dolan and Sean O’Brien are fully qualified to deliver Cycling Ireland courses such as Cycle Right, Gearing up off Road, Sprocket Rocket and Bike for Life. They also offer inclusive cycling, bike maintenance, One to One and group mountain bike skills, summer camps and parties. Clients of all ages will be taught how to use the roads safely, encouraged to get more active, and empowered with independence and cycling skills. It’s great fun!

As well as offering taster sessions in Primary Schools in conjunction with Monaghan Sports Partnership, Bike Green has been very busy in County Monaghan for Bike Week 2018, and on Sunday 17th June  they will offer half hour mountain bike skills taster sessions from 2pm to 5pm in Hope Castle, Castleblayney. They also offer a 6 week inclusive cycling programme for children with special educational needs starting at Coral Leisure Centre, Monaghan on 31st May 2018. Pre-registration essential. Cost €45 for 6 weeks. Contact Dean on 087 2623956 in Monaghan Sports Partnership to book.  So what are ye waiting for? Biking will boost your fitness, get you out and about, improve your health and bank balance, and is an environmentally friendly way of getting around.

Whether it’s to boost your fitness, health or bank balance, improve your balance and coordination, enjoy social benefits, or as an environmental choice, taking up bicycle riding could be one of the best decisions you ever make. Bike Green has something fun for all the family – from the youngest to the oldest.
