Trip to the Cavan Burren: We have organised a day trip to the Cavan Burren and the Organic centre in Rossinver, Co Leitrim, on Tuesday May 22nd. Anyone interested can text 0833244455 leaving your details and mark it “Burren”. With an opportunity for a nice walk in the historic Cavan Burren, a tour of the fascinating Organic centre and stops for coffee and dinner, it should be a very pleasant day out. The cost is 55 euro which includes lunch and dinner. If interested please leave your money in the U3A box in the Age Action shop by Friday 18th May, leaving your name and contact details.
Monthly Talk: Our next monthly talk is on Friday 25th May in the Garage theatre at 11am. It will be a relaxed Gardeners’ Panel with local gardeners talking and answering questions. A date for your diary.
Book Club: The next meeting is Thursday May 24th in the Four Season s hotel at 2.30. The book for this month is ‘Portrait of the Artist as a young man’ by James Joyce. Copies are available in the library. If you have books from the library and are finished with them, can you return the books please.
York trip: The trip to York was a great success and enjoyed by all. The Scotland trip is on this week and no doubt will be as successful. One sad note on the York trip was the untimely passing of our member Aggie Hughes. Aggie loved Line dancing and going on trips and indeed had booked her spot on the York trip, but it was not to be. We will miss her lively spirit.

Walks: The walk on Wednesday, 16th May is on the Greenway. Meet at Four Seasons hotel at 10.30. The walk on Wednesday, 23rd May is to Crocknagrally, near Fivemiletown. Meet at Maggie Charlie’s at 10.00am or Knockatallon school at 10.30am.
