Litter pick: Firstly thanks to everyone who took part in the Spring clean up last weekend, it was a great success and it is lovely to see the hedgerows litter free, even if it is only short lived. Thanks to all who collected litter but particularly the children, hopefully this experience will live with them and they will think before they litter when they are bigger.
Car park: After a few false starts our car park fundraising campaign will launch this Easter Sunday morning in Tydavnet community centre after Mass. Our first appeal is to our local community and we are going to go house to house locally; we have a number of collection teams and they will be distributing an information leaflet and an envelope to you this week inviting you to come to the launch. There are a number of suggestions and options for you to contribute and these will be elaborated on at the launch. This is our community and we have a chance now to make our mark for the generations coming behind us. All our collected will carry ID on our behalf.
National tree week: March 4th to 11th was National Tree Week and we have acquired a number of new trees which we are going to plant in Fr Stephens lawn sometime in April, when the weather is a bit more appealing. More details later.
