AGM: The AGM was a great success. Thanks to all who braved the weather to come and especially to the Choir members who turned out in great force.

Paddle at Tanagh: Members may be interested in learning how to canoe with experienced instructors. It is great fun and with a sense of achievement and immersion in Nature. Further information is available at info@tanaghoutdooreducation.com or 0495552988.

Trip to York: Payment for the trip to York will be collected on Friday 16th February between 11am and 12am in the Market House, Monaghan.

Monthly Speaker: Our next Monthly Speaker will be Friday 23rd February in the Garage theatre at 11.00. It will be a joint presentation by Danny Aughey and Enda Galligan on the Monaghan railways with illustrations.

Annual Party: will be on Friday, February 23rd, in Rossmore golf club. Cost is 15 euro, payable at the door. There will be a free bus leaving Ballinode at 7.30pm and Monaghan at 7.45 which will get you out on time for 8.00pm tee off. Come along for a good night’s craic, dancing and good food. Walks: Wednesday, February 14th, walk is the Bragan Loop. Meet at Maggie Charlie;s at 10.00 or Knockatallon school at 10.30. Wednesday, February 21st, walk is in Lough Muckno. Meet at the Cathedral car park at 10.00 or Lough Muckno park gates at 10.30.

Book Club: The next meeting is Thursday 22nd February in the Four Seasons hotel at 2.30. The book for this month is ‘The Sunrise’ by Victoria Hislop. Copies of the book are available in the Library, just ask for it under the U3A card.

Coffee Morning, every Thursday, around eleven, in Graham’s Coffee shop.

Yoga Classes: Yoga classes began on Wednesday 7th February, 3.30pm to 5.00pm, in the Crocus centre. The course will run for 6 weeks and is now fully subscribed. Clothing should be loose and comfortable and bring a rug or blanket for the relaxation section.

Coffee and Craic every Wednesday in Smithboro Presbyterian hall between 3.00 and 4.30.

Flower arranging: There will be a set of four Flower arranging classes in St, Joseph’s Pastoral centre (downstairs). The dates for the classes are as follows: Tuesdays 27th February, 13th March, 27th March and the 24th April. Walking Festival: Our annual Walking Festival takes place this year on Thursday April 12th and Friday April 13th. Keep an eye on the notes for more information in the coming weeks.

Thursdays: Flexibility, Balance and strength classes. In the Gym club, Milltown, 9.45 to 10.45. Suitable for all ages and abilities and you can pop into Graham’s for coffee afterwards. Coffee morning, an informal coffee morning occurs every Thursday, Graham’s coffee shop.
