Craobh Éamonn Ó Muirí will host the annual Tydavnet Feis in Urbleshanny N.S., Scotstown on Sunday 25th February 2018 commencing at 10am. The school will open from 9.20 am on the day. A full programme of competitions on all instruments, and these are open to novice competitors who have not won 1st, 2nd or 3rd on the particular instrument or singing competition at the County Fleadh. Competitions are also open to non CCÉ members, and visitors from other counties. Competitions for under 8’s and under 10’s (1 tune), and under 12 and under 15 (2 tunes). All instruments are welcome and there are also comortaisi Gaeilge, faoi 9, faoi 12 agus os cionn 12, (scéal, agallamh beirte, dán agus drama beag). There are medals for all participants in under 8 and under 10 competitions. It’s a great way for young people to get experience of competition before the fleadh season starts! This year is being once again being enhanced by the attendance of a number of champion musicians from the branch who themselves have come up through Comhaltas Craobh Éamonn ÓMuirí, and gone on to amazing successes in traditional music, and who will adjudicate the competitions on the day. Please text your entries to Poilín NíRuanaidh 087 9655031 (and pay for them on the morning of the event).
