All classes resumed the week beginning the 15th January. All classes are back in their usual venues, see list below.

Walks

Wednesday, January 24th, walk is in Rossmore park. Meet at Rossmore carpark at 10.30 .

Book Club                                                                              

The next meeting is Friday 19th January in the Four Seasons hotel at 2.30. The book for this month is ‘The Magpie Murders’ by Anthony Horowitz. Please note the change of day.

Film Club: film club was cancelled on Tuesday 16th January due to inclement weather.  Film club will now be on Tuesday 23rd January, weather permitting, with a choice of ‘Spotlight’ or ‘Singing in the Rain’.

Choir resumed on Tuesday 16th in the Market House at 11.30.

We had a very relaxing morning revisiting known songs and learning a few new ones. Thanks to all who took part in the Carol service in Ballinode and thanks particularly to Deirdre for all her hard work and patience.

Line Dancing starts on Monday 22nd January in St. Joseph’s at 10.45 to 12.15am. The class is now full.

Coffee Morning, every Thursday, around eleven, in Graham’s Coffee shop.

Our AGM will take place in the Garage theatre on Friday February 9th. Our annual party will also be on Friday, February 23rd, in Rossmore golf club.

Coffee and Craic every Wednesday in Smithboro Presbyterian hall between 3.00 and 4.30.

Chess enthusiasts meet on an informal basis in the Library around 2.00pm

Irish in the Market House at 2.30pm

Tuesdays: Choir 11.30 to 1.00, Market House

French 2.15 to 3.15pm, Market House

Wednesdays: Spanish in Andy’s 2.30pm

Cards in Tydavnet Community centre at 8.00 pm. Come along for a light hearted game of forty-five and a nice chat.

Thursdays: Flexibility, Balance and strength classes. In the Gym club, Milltown, 9.45 to 10.45. Suitable for all ages and abilities and you can pop into Graham’s for coffee afterwards.

Coffee morning, an informal coffee morning occurs every Thursday, Graham’s coffee shop.

Classes in yoga, photography and computers will be on offer in the new year. Details will follow in later editions. We are busy adding final details to our trip to York and members will be informed shortly about the details and given the opportunity to book the trip.
