After an initial flurry of interest, it’s time to check in with everyone in the community to remind them about the “Make your Ceili” initiative which was launched by Scotstown GAA. Now that the evenings are getting longer, it’s a perfect time to visit your neighbours and friends. Traditionally, the ceili was associated with good company, a warm fire, the family gathered in, and a cup of tea, and maybe even a bit of home-baking, so why not head out and “Make your ceili” in your community. Don’t put it off any longer to go visit that someone who’s on your mind, neighbour, old friend, new baby, someone on their own, or one of your neighbours who now resides in a nursing home. Have the craic, see how they’re doing, and just bring a bit of cheer. It’s a wonderful initiative, share the friendship!
