As usual there was an excellent attendance at Ballinode ICA February meeting. There was a lively discussion on the activities we are planning for the next few months. We had a roundup of what happened at the Federation meeting in Rockcorry recently. Our guild has 3  X 1/2 scholarships for Monaghan week at An Gríanán from May 5th – 7th and we had a draw for winners. Courses on offer are Time for yourself, Painting with Acrylics, Gardening,  Beaded Jewellry, Social Dancing and visiting Historical Homes.

Rehearsals continue for the Choir competition at an Gríanán on April 9th. Many thanks to Geraldine Casey who is tutoring the group and also to Sheila Mc Carron Murray who is allowing us the use of her home for practice . We are all enjoying it so much. Thank you to our guest,  federation President Mrs Lorna Soden, who demonstrated several crafts. It was very enjoyable and educational. Our next meeting is Thursday 9th March in Tydavnet community centre at 8pm. Cathy Boylan from Ballinode will attend and show us her hand made craft products which are fabulous. New members welcome.  (Pictured below is a sample of Cathy’s Crafts, to order your special design contact Cathy on 087 9626581)
