Early in December all the Ballinode ICA ladies met at Neighbourhood restaurant Glaslough St for a beautiful Christmas meal. The food was an excellent three course meal with plenty of choice and variety on the menu. The service was second to none and everyone had a really enjoyable evening. Thank you to the management and staff at Neighbourhood. It was with great delight we welcomed Cathy MacKenna, winner of the Great Irish Bake Off 2016, to our December meeting. She demonstrated to us a meringue and sponge layered cake with lemon curd and raspberry couli sauce and cream filling. It was really delicious and a really nice way for us to end the year, and we are looking forward to an enjoyable 2017. Geraldine Casey has chosen two songs for us to practice and we will enter the ICA Choral Competition again this year. Singing classes will resume each Monday night in Sheila’s house starting shortly. The walking group continues at Killmore each week. A few other projects are on the pipeline for the coming months. Local Craftswoman Cathy Boylan is coming to demonstrate her crafting skills in January. Next meeting in Tydavnet Community Centre on Thursday 12th January at 8pm, New members welcome.
