The long awaited children’s playground and sports court upgrades are due to commence this week, great news. Thanks to Monaghan county Council for the positive response to a recent request from Ballinode tidy towns regarding a “blackspot” in last year’s report, a job well done, thanks to overseer Seamus Sherry and staff. The application form for this year’s competition is now being compiled, and it’s only over 2 weeks to judging. Please help increase the village score again this year. Calling all volunteers, the group is hoping to get help for a few different projects and a bit of tidying up in the area on Saturday week 26th May. Please offer to help for these few hours, meet at Ballinode Hall from 10.30 am to 1 pm. The Eco children’s camp will take place on the first week in July in Ballinode Hall, full details later.
