Ballinode artwork in Texaco children’s Art competition

The 65th Texaco art competition is currently being judged, and Ballinode artist Louisa Duggan from Beech Hill College is among the entrants. Her “Daisy Chain” is among 183 from County Monaghan who are anxiously awaiting the results in Mid April 2019. We wish her every success.

Tydavnet Community Games dates for athletics distance races announced

The County finals for Mixed Distance Race, Cross Country, Marathon and Duathlon will take place on Saturday 23rd March in Emyvale. All participants please register at the Parish Field, Emyvale at 11.00am. Marathon participants will then go to Emy lake to compete. Good luck to all competitors from Tydavnet Area who are competing.

The death has taken place of Sr Monica McKenna, Franciscan Convent, Mill Hill, London, and previously of Hope Castle, Castleblayney and formerly of Drumcoobrady, Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan on Tuesday, March 12th peacefully in London. Requiem Mass on Tuesday March 26th, in St. Vincent’s Nursing Home, Pinner, Middlesex, at 11am followed by cremation. May she rest in peace.
